Reflecting this morning…
We had a terrible storm last night that kept me awake & left my mind racing.
I started journaling my thoughts, whether it’s in business, life, or even my garden/plant ideas. It gives me a chance to get all my ideas that stir like a tornado inside my head, down on paper - almost like a brain dump. Bonus is, writing them down means I don’t forget my awesome ideas. 😉
After years of doctors appointments, I have finally got some answers to the side effects going on in my body.
I was diagnosed with a dysregulated nervous system + a heart murmur.
Basically my body is stuck in a ‘fight or flight’ response and it has gotten so bad my body was literally bursting from within & giving me a stress rash on my hands & upper body, anytime my heart rate elevated. Unfortunately, for me, that happens several times a day - even when it shouldn’t. I am fluctuating between chronic over-activation & chronic shutdown - and it is overwhelming. 🥴
The cause is an endless list of things, but the cure is to, um - stress less. 😒
So now I must work on loads of self care. Something I rarely take any time doing - or worse feel bad for doing - which guess what - makes me stress even more!
Luckily, I’ve started some meds to help with the anxiety, heart rate fluctuations, insomnia, & flushing (nerve histamine releases), until I can get myself regulated.
I am still waiting on getting an echocardiogram for the heart murmur - to see what’s happening there, but it least I have some answers!
Eeeeh - I know that was a long post, but I figured I’d share in case others are going through anything similar. Suffering alone isn’t fun.
