So, it is just me and our sweet Evelyn at home most days, running errands and enjoying a bit of girl time before our big move across the ocean in a couple weeks.
Yesterday we spent our Easter enjoying some family time and doing a bit of shopping in Belgium. I saw this chair and literally ran over to it, stroller and all. I probably looked completely crazy. It was the chair I had wanted, imagined finding in Europe, for the past four years. And here it was, in all it’s glory! My husband saw my excitement and was egging me on (<-see what I did there? 😉 lol) to find out how much it was, but I figured it would be way outside what I should spend, so we walked on. He found himself a super cool billiards clock from England and a few metal signs for his ‘future barroom’, and as we kept walking he asked if I was going to buy anything. Something just for me…because I am always looking for props or something I can use in the studio. I said that I really couldn’t stop thinking about that lovely light teal vintage chair…with it’s dreamy accents of cream and gold. I knew it would also look amazing in the new studio in Shreveport, Louisiana when we get there in May.
Secretly, I knew it was perfect for both me and business. It match a charming mora clock I had just received from Sweden, and it was favorite colors. I knew I really wanted to photograph clients on it, too. Ok, I had to have it! So we walked back, and as fate had it…it was still there, and FAR less than I expected to pay! I think the owners were shocked at how fast we said we would take it! haha
